The history of Junghans
In 1861, Erhard Junghans and his brother-in-law founded a small factory for watch parts in the Black Forest. It soon developed into one of the world's largest watch manufacturers. With the iconic star logo of 1888 and the terraced building of 1918, Junghans set a standard for identity and innovation. The 1930s saw the company's first proprietary wristwatch movements, followed by global success with quartz and radio-controlled technology. In 1990, Junghans presented the Mega 1 , the world's first radio-controlled wristwatch. Today, the company combines its tradition with modern design and precise technology – firmly rooted in Schramberg, where it all began.

The signature of Junghans
Clear lines, minimalist forms, and a timeless aesthetic characterize Junghans watches. The brand set standards in purist design, particularly with the designs of artist and Bauhaus architect Max Bill . To this day, the collections reflect this attitude: functional, simple, yet unmistakable. A Junghans watch is thus not just an instrument for measuring time, but an expression of a clear attitude to life that remains relevant for decades.

Milestones in watchmaking
From its beginnings, Junghans has pursued the goal of rethinking technology. By 1903, the brand was already the world's largest watch manufacturer, later followed by its own chronometer movements and numerous innovations. In the 1970s, Junghans introduced the first German quartz watch, and in 1990, the Mega 1 , the world's first radio-controlled wristwatch. Today, the brand is considered a specialist in radio-controlled and radio-controlled solar watches and, like no other, stands for precision "Made in Germany."
