As part of the Five Deeps Expedition, the Ultra Deep made history with its journey to the deepest point on earth in 2019. Following this world record dive, the watch has now been redesigned for a unique collection available for sale to the public. Developed during the development phase in real underwater conditions, the design features water resistance to a depth of 6,000 meters (20,000 feet) and complies with ISO 6425:2018, the standard for saturation diver watches.
Crafted from sandblasted Grade 5 titanium, this 45.5mm model features a brushed black ceramic bezel ring with a Liquidmetal™ diving scale. Through the protruding, domed sapphire crystal you can see a black ceramicized dial made of grade 5 titanium with a white to cyan seconds hand, cyan Arabic numerals and hour and minute indices and hands made of 18K white gold coated with white Super-LumiNova.
The watch features distinctive “Manta lugs” on the edge of the case, to which a black and cyan striped polyamide NATO strap is attached with a grade 5 titanium clasp. The caseback features a grade 5 titanium medallion laser engraved with a sonar symbol and the iconic OMEGA seahorse in the center. The watch is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 8912.
